Have A Nice Life – Deathconsciousness is a cult classic—an album that feels like it was made in a basement by two guys (Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga) pouring every bit of existential dread, beauty, and noise they had into it. Released in 2008 with little fanfare, it slowly gained traction through word-of-mouth and internet forums, and has since become a landmark in the worlds of post-punk, shoegaze, and depressive ambient music.

If you’ve got the time and emotional space, listening to the whole album start to finish (ideally alone, at night) is an unforgettable experience.
